So, Come

I was calling out in prayer for the awakening of intercessors to take up their pails and dig the wells of revival in Canada.

That night I had a dream: An unknown woman led me into a trench. Further down in the earth there were stairs we descended until there was a large underground room. It was the average height of a normal apartment but still had dirt floors. I had the sense we were viewing this apartment for rent. We walked through and there was a bedroom and a kitchen with a patio door. We went out the door and there were people playing on the oceanside beach. I noted there were modest furnishings for a place to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

We went back in the humble home, looking around we found a library where an old man sat with His back to us. It seemed that He was the owner of the apartment and was quietly waiting while we searched His home. I was slightly embarrassed because I thought that no one was there. He got up to greet us and we ran out. End of the dream.

Interpretation: Many times there has been an unidentified woman in my dreams and she always represents the Holy Spirit. The woman was leading me deeper into the things of God, which are accessed through humility. There are rooms as yet to be discovered in the realm of the Spirit. The Father has opened these rooms for us and is just waiting for us to not only investigate but to sit down with Him. He has seated us in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6 The way up is to first go down through the cross.

John 14: 1  “Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also .My Father’s house has many dwelling places. If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly, because I go to prepare a place for you to rest.”

Now, we know that this scripture refers to our place in heaven. He has also prepared places for us to experience Him in the heavenly realm while we still live on earth.

Why did we run out at the end? I feel like this is often what we do when we experience the Holy Spirit. We go in, we come out quickly. We enter into an encounter with God but we don’t linger, we want back in our comfort zone. God is inviting us to live in these new rooms that are for rent but they will cost us something! The currency we use is faith. As we exercise it we can live in a more consistent way in the power and Presence of the Holy Spirit.

My daily reading today was in 1 Thessalonians 5 and this phrase in verse 14 stood out: “We appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not in their place of battle.” It sounded like a trumpet call to me!

This is what I had been doing in the spirit the night before. I was sounding out an awakening cry for those who were not yet in their place of battle.

This dream describes for us that we have access to new rooms, new spiritul experiences. I believe that along with humility, two keys to those rooms are praying in tongues, and worship. I invite you to make it a daily practice to dedicate more time to both. Respond to this call to take your place in the spiritual battle. This place of intimacy with Him.
