Not all intercessors are prophets but all prophets are intercessors. A prophetic life includes hearing Gods’ heart for His creation and praying for it to come to pass.
I will date myself here but I became a Christian as a teenager in the 1970’s. Even then, the Lord was developing in me a heart for prayer. One of my favorite singers was Chuck Girard. His musical rendition of Psalm 5 sums up the feeling that I have today. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
I have become God’s friend through intercession. There is no greater way to get to understand His heart.
So much has been said about prayer, and there are excellent articles and blogs available. Occasionally, I come across something that is just like what I would say about a subject and I recently came across one through a Facebook connection and want to pass it onto you. Paul Balius is an author of a blog called ‘He has you’. You can read his article on the heart of intercession here
The Bible says that God draws near to those who draw near to Him.
I bless you today as you do that.
